Charles F. Brush Class of ’84 Scholarship Fund
In 2009, members of the Charles F. Brush Class of '84 gathered for their 25th Reunion and discussed ways in which they could give back to their alma mater. Instead of leaving something physical in nature, they wanted to provide meaningful support to future graduates, thus creating this scholarship fund. The scholarship allows the Class of '84 to reward, promote, and support passionate graduates who have a goal of helping others. This scholarship is housed 250 miles from the source school because one of the members of the scholarship committee, Marc McCann, has made State College his home for the past 25 years. When a search for a Cleveland-area organization to manage its scholarship ended unsatisfactorily, the Scholarship Committee decided to move its funds to Centre Foundation in 2015, establishing a true endowment.
